St. Brigid's Cathedral in Co. Kildare

Bre loved how the Ivy enclosed this brick house

Its really cool how everyone's doors are personal with a different color and a different knocker

Just stunning!

Irish National Stud Muffins

2nd day in Dublin = we get out of the city! Bre loves horses and knows all the big names in racing so what better a place to take her than the Irish National Stud!

Madda's Force and her foal Dragon's Fire

Big Bad Bob is Bre's favorite!  She was so excited to meet him in person

That's a pricey date!

So beautiful but very feisty!  We got hissed at for taking his photo

Killin' Time

Dublin
Our Hotel

In order to reset our clocks we checked in to the hotel and went straight to Dublin city center to kill some time.  You know how it is at Pike's Place Market on a sunny saturday?  This was more crowded.  Tour busses galore, artists in the street, and everybody kept touching our butts (not on purpose of course but what can we say?)

One of the key places Bre wanted to visit was Temple Bar area.  Bre was looking forward to her first experience in a pub so what better a place than the very first Temple Bar Cafe that started the whole area!

Notice the reader board on the double decker bus! :)

Bre Gets Her Wings

Bre: "OMG OMG I GOT TO MEET THE PILOTS AND SIT IN THE COCKPIT!!!!!!!!!!!  After that Mom, Alicia, and I got in our seats and settled.  The captain came and chatted with us.  By the way, all pilots have those metal or gold wing pins. So we're talking and he asked me if i got my wings... I have not.  So he unpinned the wings that he's been wearing for years and gave me HIS GOLDEN WINGS HE EARNED!!!  It's official I've now earned my wings!"

Special thanks to Bayview Limo, Make a Wish Foundation, and Delta Airlines for being so very accommodating and making the airport experience and Bre's first flight a great one!

Long Locks

Hello new hair do!!!  The day after I got my stitches out I went to a special hair salon and got real human hair, glue in extensions to cover the 3 inch scar across my neck.

*note from Alicia:  "I’m overwhelmed by how grown up and gorgeous Bre looks with her new hair.  I’m so excited to have her model for me on the Cliffs of Moher with these gorgeous long locks blowing in the oceanside wind"

Lumps and Bumps in the Road

About 5 months ago I came down with mononucleosis.  My right limp node swelled up.  8 weeks prior to the trip, a lump started to grow and swell on the right side of my neck.  I went in to get looked at, then I got a CT scan thinking it was stage four lymphoma.  Oh the luck of the Irish, it was a bronchial cleft cyist.  I had emergency surgery July 9th
